Announcement: New Sponsors for Physical Review Special Topics - Accelerators and Beams (May 1, 2008)Physical Review Special Topics - Accelerators and Beams is glad to announce and to warmly welcome eight new sponsors: European Particle Accelerator Conference 2008 (EPAC’08) Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung mbH (GSI) INFN–Laboratori Nazionali del Sud INFN–Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati INFN–Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory at Michigan State University Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory They have joined—since April 2007 and just in time for PRST-AB’s 10th anniversary in May 2008—the continuing sponsors: Brookhaven National Laboratory Cornell University Laboratory for Elementary-Particle Physics Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Los Alamos National Laboratory Stanford Linear Accelerator Center Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility TRIUMF–Canada’s National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics Among these, CERN has increased its annual sponsorship contribution by 40% to demonstrate its commitment to the PRST-AB financing model. PRST-AB would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors who recognize the importance of publication in accelerator science and technology. These sponsors are essential to the journal, and we are grateful for their contributions; through their generosity we are able to offer PRST-AB without cost to both readers and authors. The sponsorship now covers most of the expenses of the journal which are predominantly editorial, production, and distributed costs. In addition to the financial support, the wide sponsorship is recognition of 1) PRST-AB as the premier journal of accelerator physics and technology, and 2) the contributions PRST-AB is making to the international accelerator community. A continually updated list of PRST-AB sponsors is available at http://prst-ab.aps.org/sponsors.html.
