He received his B. S. from Vanderbilt University and his Ph. D. from Yale University. Following a postdoctoral appointment at Harvard University he joined the Operations Group at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring (CESR) electron-positron collider. In 2001 he joined the SNS project, becoming the Accelerator Physics Group Leader in 2002, responsible for the SNS beam commissioning program. |
