* Richard S. Galik received his B. S. in Physics from MIT (1973) and Ph. D. in Experimental Physics from Cornell (1978). After a brief time in neutrino physics as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant professor at Penn, he returned to Ithaca as a Cornell faculty member in 1981. Since then he has been a prominent member of the CLEO Collaboration, working in the areas of tau leptons, two-photon interactions, and quarkonia.
